The only ‘yard’ for this hilltop home was a small slope at the front of the house. But we were able to give them a space to rest, entertain and enjoy nature outdoors but cutting into the slope and screening the front and sides of the space.

Since every inch counted in this scenario, we made use of the foundation wall of the house as a backdrop for a meditative sculpture and focal point. The front entry hardscape and exterior got a face-lift, and the area was dignified with a lot of good rectangles.
